Plans for increasing Tourism

The Valencia Tourism Agency plans to carry out, in collaboration with the Institute of Tourism of Spain; Turespaña, more than 160 actions this year to promote tourism in the region in 31 countries.They are hoping to participate in over 45 tourism fairs throughout the year.

The Regional Secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, stressed the commitment of the Valencian Tourist Agency to work more on “the introduction of new products and finding new tourism markets."

The Annual Work Plan 2016 envisages 10 per cent more actions planned compared to 2015. It also reflects a greater increase in actions to promote specific and new tourism areas such as sports tourism, conferences and events, gastronomic tourism and the LGBT market.
