Torrevieja May Fair/ Feria De Sevillanas
The May Fair in Torrevieja has started. It commenced yesterday Wednesday the 4th and continues to Sunday the 8th May 2016.
It has a very traditional Andalusian feel to it and is always worth going to see. The days are packed with some great free shows, which include horse parades and flamenco dancing. They also have a large firework display and there is an opportunity to try some traditional foods from the 'casetas', these are the small little marquees you will see erected at the road side.
Be sure to take your camera as there will be ladies wearing flamenco dresses by the hundreds, and men in traditional countryside costumes and masses of horses.
There will also be a fair ground which will be open every day from the 4th to the 8th for you to visit and enjoy some typical Andalusian cuisine and atmosphere, although the Feria itself is mainly an evening event with a party atmosphere.
It is located beside the New Marina in Torrevieja and entrance to the Fair Ground is free.
