Winter Beach 2019

Winter Beach returns this weekend, Sunday 31^st March!

The councillor for the beaches, Luisa Bone, has announced again the activities will return to La Caleta Beach as it has been very well received over the last two years.

The activities will run through the spring until the start of the summer, it will finish on the 9^th June, before the summer season starts.

La Caleta beach has been selected each year as for the time of year it meets many of the necessary requirements. It is a sheltered bay with calm waters, family friendly, accessible and has the services of the chiringuito all year round.

This year activities that have been organised are varied, yoga, body balance, aerobics, Zumba, paddle surfing, canoeing, snorkelling, and introductions to diving.

This Sunday the first of the activities planned they will have a jumping masterclass (mini trampolines), as well as fitness and aerobics and children's activities.Activities commence at 11am.The aquatic activities do not commence until the 14^th April and will start earlier at 9.30am.During all of the aquatic activities there will be two lifeguards and a support boat on duty to guarantee the safety of the participants.

The Winter Beach Program has been designed for all ages, 36 activities have been organised and all are free.It has ben set up so that in the quieter months' families can go to the beach, enjoy the mild weather and join in the activities that feature on that day.
