Valencian Community Day 9th October
On the 9th October we celebrate The Valencian Community Day. It commemorates the date that Jaume I the Conqueror officially entered the city of Valencia in 1238, ending the domain of the Arab king Abdul Djumayl Zayya. It was the day of San Donís. On this day it is a holiday throughout the Valencian Community and celebrated with greater impact in the city of Valencia itself.
